About Us

Pouncil Legacy Foundation (PLF) is a U.S. based nonprofit private foundation dedicated to building a legacy of financial literacy, economic empowerment, and ethical wealth-building in underserved communities. We raise and distribute charitable capital to mission-aligned nonprofits and socially responsible businesses that share our vision for a more equitable future.

Founded on the values of spiritual stewardship and financial integrity, our foundation believes that philanthropy can be a powerful tool to drive generational impact — not just through giving, but through strategic investment in ideas that uplift and sustain.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to advance financial education, promote economic opportunity, and support innovative charitable solutions that create long-term social impact. We are committed to using our platform to amplify organizations and enterprises that serve historically marginalized and economically disadvantaged communities.

Program Activities

Pouncil Legacy Foundation focuses its efforts across three core areas:

Fundraising & Resource Development

40% of Mission Activity

We conduct donor campaigns, partnership outreach, and virtual and in-person fundraising efforts to support our mission. Cultivating charitable support from individuals, corporations, and philanthropic networks.

Grantmaking

Up to 50% of Mission Activity

We distribute grants to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations and mission-aligned social enterprises. We accept proposals, conduct due diligence, and require reporting to ensure proper fund usage.

Program-Related Investments (PRIs)

Up to 10% of Operations

We engage in below-market loans, equity in mission-driven enterprises, and non-interest-bearing promissory notes under IRS Regulation §53.4944-3 to advance our charitable objectives.

Disclosure

As of July 7, 2025, Pouncil Legacy Foundation's application for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status is pending with the IRS. In the interim, PLF has partnered with Artportunity Knocks Inc., a Georgia-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to serve as its fiscal sponsor. All donations made during this period will be processed through Artportunity Knocks and earmarked exclusively for PLF initiatives. Contributions are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please consult your tax advisor for guidance regarding your individual deduction eligibility.
